12 The chief priests met with the elders and made their plan they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers 13 and said, “You are to say that his disciples came during the night and stole his body while you were asleep. “Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”ġ1 While the women went on their way, some of the soldiers guarding the tomb went back to the city and told the chief priests everything that had happened. 10 “Do not be afraid,” Jesus said to them. 7 Go quickly now, and tell his disciples, ‘He has been raised from death, and now he is going to Galilee ahead of you there you will see him!’ Remember what I have told you.”Ĩ So they left the tomb in a hurry, afraid and yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples.ĩ Suddenly Jesus met them and said, “Peace be with you.” They came up to him, took hold of his feet, and worshipped him. Come here and see the place where he was lying. 6 He is not here he has been raised, just as he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 4 The guards were so afraid that they trembled and became like dead men.ĥ The angel spoke to the women. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 2 Suddenly there was a violent earthquake an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled the stone away, and sat on it. Amen.1 After the Sabbath, as Sunday morning was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.ġ0 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.ġ1 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.ġ2 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,ġ3 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.ġ4 And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.ġ5 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.ġ6 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.ġ7 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.ġ8 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.ġ9 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:Ģ0 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.ħ And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.Ĩ And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy and did run to bring his disciples word.ĩ And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. 28 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.Ģ And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.ģ His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:Ĥ And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.ĥ And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.Ħ He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.
